Online Education Programs Receive A Big Boost From Online Media Technology Breakthrough

Posted by: John Maxted  :  Category: online computer help

One of the major problems with online courses has always been the lack of a classroom experience and a real college environment. In the past many people were unable to overcome this flaw and did not pursue an online education. However, in the last few years there have been great improvements in the technology used to deliver online bachelor degree programs. Now more than ever, online courses provide a realistic and interactive setting.

The widespread availability of high speed broadband internet connections has greatly simplified matters. Instructors can now put large video and audio presentations online, confident that their students will be able to quickly download the class material and begin working almost immediately.

Various recorded presentations are now part of online courses. These are also much better than used to be the case. Instructors will use a PowerPoint presentation along with recorded narration to explain the material covered. This provides students with an online education experience like that given in a lecture hall.

There are also instructors who record their lectures; many students prefer this, since they are able to see the professor speak for themselves. It’s also helpful to be able to match your professor’s names with faces and voices.

Students can interact more easily than ever before with discussion board which permit students to ask questions, talk about the coursework or discuss lectures. There are also live chat rooms which are part of many online courses, which lets students communicate in real time.

For those whose computers meet the system requirements, video and audio chats are also a possibility. Using VOIP services like Skype or webcams, students can easily meet each other and collaborate on class projects with ease – no matter how far away they may live from one another!

You can also use the methods that your professors use. Your instructors will often use a recorded lecture or PowerPoint presentation with voiceover narration; and you can do the same with your homework! Instead of simply turning in a report in plain text, you can create your own multimedia reports – now that’s sure to fetch a good grade!

Online bachelors degree courses now also feature tests. There have been a lot of advances which have allowed for the creation of online tests which can be administered accurately over the web. These tests are timed and contain multiple choice questions, essay questions and more. Just like a traditional class, you’ll need to demonstrate your understanding of the course material – technology may have changed a lot of things, but passing your tests is still up to you!

Know more than ever, online courses offer a complete classroom experience. From detailed presentations that make you feel like you’re in the lecture hall, to comprehensive testing services and student interaction, getting an online education has been made better through technology.

Blue Screen of Death Error Messages – How To Get Round Them

Posted by: admin  :  Category: computer hardware problems

Blue screen of death error messages can still crop up with Windows although it is fairly secure.
With Windows XP the errors can’t be easily understood or analyzed.
When you are in a situation where your system starts to stall, it is time to start doing a few trials, you need to discover exactly what’s happening.
Do not jump to the conclusion that your entire system is corrupt and start reformatting the hard drive and reinstateing the operating system.
Most of the time this course of action won’t do much to cure your PC errors, occasionally it might.
If all else has failed when you’re experiencing blue screen of death error messages, then it may be about time to start thinking about reformatting your computer.
The first thing you might want to try is to restart the computer.
Around 1/2 hr should be ample time to leave it shut down.

Start your defrag program.

The defragmentation program that is built into the computer can do a good job for the time being in clearing your hard disc, but you should think about investing in a good quality registry cleaner that you can run on a regular basis to keep it clear.

Click Here For The Best Registry Cleaner

A defrag is easy to perform.

  1. Take the option of “all programs” From going into your start menu.
  2. Take the accessories option.
  3. You can now click disc defrag which you will find in system tools.
  4. In disc defragmenter window click “analyze”.

As soon as analyzing has concluded it will let you know whether or not you should defragment the volume.
Registry cleaners do a much more stable job than a Windows defrag though, there are many you can download that give you a free scan.

A defragmentation can take hrs to end it’s run.

Be sure you schedule it when you do not have important tasks to do on your computer.
Possibly when you’re considering going to bed.
XP will frequently lose files and place them in out of reach areas. This will make it harder for your system to pull them up quickly. If you want the most frequently used files to be picked up faster, then invest in a registry cleaner because putting them files in easier to access places  is their first task. Those less needed ones will usually be shifted to slower areas. The cleaner also locates file fragments strewn around your hard drive and gathers them together discarding the useless ones. fragments that are causing your system to slow will be included in these.

1 more reason for blue screen of death error messages. It is a real possibility that your PC’s ram isn’t functioning correctly. You can simply insert a new one into your mother board if a faulty ram is indeed your problem.

Is your computer problem the fact that too many networks are running at one time?.

Vast amounts of connections to office servers, Internet or Blue-tooth networks, is likely to pack up the virtual space in your memory. Disconnect the computer from all networks and then restart it. The moment you restart your computer it will run far faster if the problem was accumulated networks. When you link back up to all of those networks your problem will return.
Connect your Blue-tooth and printer networks only when they are required.

Protecting Children with Mental Disorders

Posted by: Owen Jones  :  Category: online computer help

Who are the predators? Predators are Cyber Stalkers, serial killers/rapists, rapists, paedophiles, women beaters, child abusers, thieves, and so on. Predators often have mental illnesses that keep them from behaving properly in normal society. Children with mental disorders are often the prey of these predators, and sometimes children with mental disorders are the predators themselves. In fact, the creator of one of the most dangerous viruses online came from an eighteen-year old from England.

Dangers mental illnesses: Not everyone with a mental disorder is a danger to society. Generally, predators with mental illnesses are plagued with sociopathic, psychopathic and anti-social disorders, oppositional defiance, conduct control disorders, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorders (BPD), and psychosis. While there are a few other mental illnesses that present a threat to our society, this is a list of the most common potential dangers that wait on the streets and on the Internet.

How to save a child with mental disorders from dangers : Never treat your child as if he/she has a mental illness. Treat your child as special, yet avoid treating the child as if he/she is mentally ill, since a lot of mentally ill patients are extremely intelligent. Teach your child the same rules that other children abide by and stick to the rules. Do not leave room for leniency when danger is present. Teach your child respect by showing respect yourself.

Children with dangerous mental disorders will often want to watch pornography, violent images, content, et cetera. This makes it harder as a parent to defend your child. However, it is important that you enforce the laws. Never put yourself in danger while enforcing these laws, since some children with dangerous problems may cause you harm.

If the child won’t listen to you, bring in the police and make sure that they do their job to help you enforce the rules. You may have to pay court fees and go through all sorts of rigmarole, but I can promise you that it will benefit you in the end. As a mother who has raised two boys with dangerous mental diseases, I can tell you it won’t be easy but it can be done.

Children with mental illnesses often have brilliant minds that can often get past any parental controls and will do so without you even knowing. Take extra time than normal to monitor your child’s behaviour online. Teach your child that divulging personal details is restricted and encourage them to request your permission when thinking about giving name, phone number or other information online.

Leave room for your child to take some responsibility and always encourage your child to participate in family discussions that concern them. Encourage the child to protect their safety by encouraging them to report any crime committed against them.

One of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do while raising a child with mental health problems is teaching him/her to stay away from violent images and pornography. It is next to impossible to keep them clear of this trash. However, it can be done if you set a good example for the child to follow.

It is important that you leave the channels of communication open. Allow your child to express concerns, opinions, ideals, theories and so forth without demeaning the child. You will be astounded at the wisdom children with certain mental illnesses have, if you will only listen.

The best advice I can give you for dealing with children with major mental illnesses, such as psychopathy, is to seek help and stand firm. For additional child safety advice for children with mental disorders seek advice from a qualified professional.
