Anyone who spends a lot of time with computers knows when the performance of the computer begains to degrade. Find out how you can in simple ways avoid having problems with your computer and improve computer performance.

One thing that a computer user should regularly do is to free some disk space. This is easy to do. Just click on Disk Cleanup regularly so you can safely delete all files that are unnecessarily taking up space. You may also empty the Recycle Bin every now and then to ensure the speed of your computer. Or you may even remove programs that you don’t use anymore. Make sure, too, that you remove temporary Internet files.

Defragmenting your computer hard disk regularly is important in ensuring the efficiency of your computer. It’s a way to allow your computer to clean up and re-organize itself for a system that runs better and faster.

How does defragmenting work and why is it important?:

When your computer is working; using, opening, saving files, changing data in the files, it uses up areas on your hard disk. If you save a file for example, the hard disk will take that file and store it in sections on the computers hard drive that are adjacent to each other, depending on the size of the file. Smaller files are easier to store because they can be placed efficiently next to each other.
