Posted by: admin : Category: how to fix computer problems
My computer keeps giving me a pop up for registery cleaner…I downloaded the error doctor for 19.95..and scan everything..but yet the pop-ups still happening
Well, in fact the best stuff on earth is free !
Log on to http://www.pctools.com and download the Registry Mechanic. You would love the way the application takes care of your registry issues.
Hope this helps.

You need some Anti-Spyware.

Never click OK on a popup. Just hit the X in the top right corner.
You've got SpyWare. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.
These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

A previous answer recommended SpyBot and Ad-Aware. That's quite true, you need both. Both are free and can be easily found at download.com.
http://www.download.com/
After you download and install these two, then get the latest updates for each one. They don't come with today's updates. Then immunize your computer in SpyBot before you run a bot check. After running a full check, click on Fix Selected Problems for everything it finds. Spyware will be deleted and removed.
For Ad-Aware, run a full system scan the first time, thereafter you can run a Smart Scan. Ad-Aware will know what to look for, and it will save time in running it.
As far as cleaning and repairing the registry, you can do it free and safely at Microsoft's Live OneCare Cleanup Scan. I use it weekly.

You probably can't get your money back from error doctor, but I'd try to.
